Evolution of a Card

If you're in need of a good laugh {hopefully with me, but probably at me}, head on over to Paper Crafts Connection for today's post.

I'm exposing my personal design process and mishaps that it took to get to this card. Trust me when I say that seeing the card ideas I had previous to this one will most likely make anyone feel better about their own mishaps :)

  2. It's nice to hear the pro's also are sometimes paddling like mad under the smooth feathers of their finished product!

I wrote a similar blog post you can read here

It's a tad less restrained than yours ...and I have't improved much.. !!

  3. Not at all! We all do the same thing. {Okay, maybe not EVERYONE} It just takes a woman of strength to share the process. I'm glad you did.

  4. Jess, I loved your story - so honest. And your card is SUPER cute. I know the feeling you describe all too well, except I seem to take things apart & fiddle rather than start from scratch. And I've realized the hard way that having a sketch or color combo helps keep me on track. :)

  5. I love the story behind this card. I can totally relate!
Love the finished result - it was worth your determination to see the idea through to the end ;)

  6. LOVE your story. Especially the part about living in Texas and pinatas -- I'm in Austin! I know exactly what you mean! :)

LOVE the last card, too! :)
