witticisms by Jess Witty

And I'm off again...

...this time to Utah. Now, I'll admit it... Utah does not sound like a giant ball of fun. Even the name sounds kinda... not fun. Utah. "U-tah." Doesn't quite have the same ring as "Las VEGAS!" or "DisneyWORLD!!!" However, I'm thinkin' Utah has potential. I'm heading out to meet with all my Paper Crafts peeps - woohoo! Some I know (Kim Hughes, Maren Benedict, Kim Kesti, & all your friendly PC editors) others I'll be meeting IRL for the first time (Teri Anderson & Betsy Veldman). I've done my best to convince all of them them over time that I am super calm, cool, and collected, but all that's gonna be a lot harder to keep up when they're with me in person, lol! They're gonna be stuck with me for 2 whole days and I fear that the reality of all of my bad pun-making and verbal overindulgence is going to set in. And poor Betsy... she's stuck in the same room with me. Y'all should pray for her. Before I go, I'm leaving you with a special treat. Ah, special treats. Who doesn't love 'em? No one, that's who. Anyway, this special treat comes in the form of one of my very favorite-ist words of all time. And that word is... coupon. And by that, I mean "q-pon." Not "coo-pon." Because pronouncing it that way is just wrong, people. Wrong. Anyhow, back to the coupon.

It's being brought to you by Paper Crafts in honor of the holiday created just for us - World Card Making Day. With this coupon you can score 25% off of anything in the Paper Crafts/CK store. So, need a copy of the brand-spankin'-new Holiday Cards & More? Done! Stamp It! Cards? Sure! 225 Cards & Gifts? Sign you up! Ah, coupons. How do I love thee?

So, before I forget to give you the actual coupon, here it is {SJDA-HNVN-LKM6}. It's good through Ocotber 12. Enjoy! It doesn't really get better than free money, so I think it's time to close this baby down with a little card. This one was a little experiment in trying to make a sort of puzzle layout with various Papertrey sentiment stamps. Yes, I know... it's gray... again. This is apparently an obsession that just keeps going with me. I mixed the gray with a sunshiney yellow, just for kicks. Not 100% sure about the yellow craft ink on the gray card, but hey, it was done, and I like done. (Done is generally my favorite, know what I mean?) I was super, super tempted to go back and add some ribbon, but it's kind of all nice and masculine right now, so I thought I'd leave it as is since masculine cards are a bit harder to come by. And, I know I'm like the absolute last person to jump on this whole notebook punch wagon, but I'm diggin' it. This one is one of the border punches by Fiskars that fold flat... genius.

All right, kids... I'm off to finish packing! Later, friends! {Enjoy the Moment} card Clear Stamps – Faux Ribbon, Mixed Messages, Mega Mixed Messages (Papertrey Ink); Paper Classics (Hampton Art) Cardstock – White (PTI); Going Gray, Summer Sun (Stampin Up) Pigment Ink – Summer Sun (SU) Dye Ink – Going Gray (SU); Summer Sun, Lemon Tart (PTI) Tools – Notebook Punch (EK Success)
