10MSPC

You know what's the best? Waking up at 9:35am and thinking that your husband better gosh darned hurry to get ready for work and then figuring out that it's a holiday. It's totally like waking up a thinking it's a school day and then realizing it's a Saturday. Sweeeeeet. Ok... so this isn't really my favorite 10MSPC of all time. But I already tossed my first attempt and since I pretty much try never to do that, that should tell you how bad Attempt #1 was. So Attempt #2 is at least better than that. If I was thinking ahead, I would have taken pics of number 1 to show you to show you the depths of the badness, but I didn't think of that until just now. And whoever I give it to doesn't have to know that it's not my favorite of all time card. Unless I give it to one of you. Which I guess is sort of out of the question now. But still. Sometimes... for me... it's important to just make something. Not the best something ever. Just something. Just because. Next project... tooth fairy pillow. Because apparently she's going to be visiting our house any day now. And even though Brian and I both had tooth fairy pillows as kids, I can't find one anywhere. And I can't order from etsy because I live in fear that said tooth is going to pop out and I'm going to be like "Ummmm... how about we put it under your pillow in 5 to 7 days?" Wish me luck!

Hey, I love the card, too. What's wrong with it? I like simple and bright cards. You're being too hard on yourself. The funny thing about the Tooth Fairy ritual is my son did not put one single tooth under his pillow (I never knew I needed a special pillow, BTW). He looked on them as an investment for the future. Huh? He really thought he'd save them and get more money for them sometime down the line. I think I'm gonna be in big trouble one of these days. Forget the pillow. Make your own new ritual. There are no rules in fantasy play. Maybe you can make a pretty paper envelope for the tooth. Or let your daughter make a special card for the tooth fairy with the tooth tucked into it. Then the Tooth Fairy can leave some money in the same envelope along with some "Fairy Dust" and a rubber stamp kiss. Save the cards in a special Fairy scrapbook. What am I going to do with all those teeth I still have?? BTW, somebody wrote a book about Tooth Fairy rituals around the world. It's pretty interesting. Honestly, don't sweat the pillow; just have fun.

Ummm, I LOVE this card! My fave color is green and it has a vintage feel to it. (We didn't have a pillow either! But it sounds fun! I can't believe he will be losing teeth! Isn't he still a baby!?! Where did the time go?) *wink*

Thanks for the laugh Jess. Can relate to the tooth fairy bit and great colour combination on your card.

Cute card! I love the stitching!
I had a little tooth pillow when I was little too, with the little pocket on the front with a little button! Good luck with yours and I hope you get it done in time! :)

Okay, this sentence made me laugh out loud: "Ummmm... how about we put it under your pillow in 5 to 7 days?"

That is so much what my life usually ends up like!!

Seriously, you COULD send that card to me...not that I did anything you would want to thank me for, but yes, I would take that card and murmur "ah, she must really like me, she stitched!"
