All of the new products for September will be available tonight (September 15).
No time to waste so I'm going to kick it off with the sole non-holiday project from this month's batch o' projects...
It may not be holiday, but I couldn't resist taking the new Heart-2-Heart #8 into fall ;)
The striped tree pairs so well with a die cut from the previously release Trendy Tree Tops. I framed them both up with a Fabulous Frames die cut and used a woodgrain print patterned paper to complete the look.
Love the crisp white and bright trees against the patterned paper...
Next up... a bit of Gingerbread Lane...
You've heard about our jam habit, right?
That would be the whole making-60-jars-of-homemade-jar-during-August-to-give-away-in-December gig.
Needless to say, I've always got an eye out for images that I can use to embellish all those jar tops. This sentiment (and actually lots of the sentiments from Gingerbread Lane) is just too perfect! I picked up some little spreaders last year at the holidays from the Target $1 Spot... totally hoping I can snag some more this year to give with this year's edition... mango berry :)
I layered the sentiment strip over a Vintage Cream heart and adhered it at the edges of the lid. The shape of the lid gives everything some nice depth.
And that is one holiday hostess gift done waaaaay ahead of time, yay!
Moving on to Winter Snow Globe...
Oh, good grief, this little set is so stinkin' cute!
I wanted to add a bit of a glassy feel but find a way to keep it on the simple side so I played a little trick with a clear overlay. I started off by stamping the globe on the overlay with StazOn Opaque ink. The little globe stand is snuggled right below the globe and adhered to the top of the overlay.
The cutie pie snowman was stamped on the coordinating die cut and adhered to the card base itself. I flipped the overlay back a bit and made a light pencil line right along where the bottom of the globe would cover. That gave me a guide for adding some adhesive and glitter.
The overlay gives the card that slick glassy feel and some cool depth with the glitter being beneath it... love :)
For my Snowflake Medley project, I just couldn't help myself...
I had to give in to the negative die cut. It just had to be done, right? This set and dies are *perfect* for it.
This Soft Stone/Simply Chartreuse color combo is new to me, but hey, if West Elm can do it on the cover of their winter catalog, who am I not to give it a whirl? ;)
I added a simple sentiment from the previously released Tree Trimming Trio and the felt heart in Pure Poppy for an extra punch of color.
My last three projects were made with the Christmas card maker in mind. Or, rather, with me in mind :)
Because I'm the Christmas card maker in these parts and making 160 Christmas cards every year makes one yearn for a simple, simple, simple design. So you can consider the following cards mass production approved ;)
This is just one idea with the new Mistletoe and Holly set but, man... that set is a gold mine for simple holiday cards.
I stamped the mistletoe branch in Simply Chartreuse and embossed the Think Big Favorites #20 sentiment underneath. The real wow on this card comes from the simple mistletoe berries...
I busted out my regular old hole punch on a piece of white cardstock for those. I used a bit of Glossy Accents to stick them down and then added a coat right on top to give the berries their shine. Just set it aside to dry and you're done.
Simple, quick, and cost effective for a large batch. Love that.
The new Bits & Buttons set also makes for some super fast cards...
I started by stamping a big sentiment from the previously released Stylish Sentiments: Holiday set. I knew I wanted to stick with a no layer card, so I wanted the focal sentiment to be bold.
Those little button circles make such a sweet confetti-like background. This new to me combo of Limemade Ice, Ocean Tides, and Soft Stone (yup, same West Elm mag) feels fresh and a nice change for a holiday card.
I stamped the Limemade and Ocean inks off once to keep that overlapping nice and light... kind of floaty feeling to go along with the confetti feel.
Soft Stone is a pale gray, but it definitely has a warm undertone... I love the way it pairs with the cooler colors.
I'm definitely going to be getting a lot of use out of this little Bits & Buttons layout. You know I love a versatile set and I'd consider this one a new must have basic.
And now for another new favorite... Happy Harlequin...
This one just makes me happy.
Happy, happy, happy :)
Three simple harlequins stamped across the top with a little stitching image over the top to turn the whole thing into argyle. And yes, I did choose a "warm" sentiment just to go with the argyle! I'm such a dork.
The stitched line is from the Sending You set. I put my Sending You set aside so I could take a picture of the image and apparently I put it in such a safe place that I can't find it. Huh. It must be super, super safe. Here's the website pic to refresh your memory...
Anyhow, it only needs one slight adjustment to make it mass production approved. Can you guess what it is?
CUT IT OUT.
Yup.
Do it.
I used a ruler and craft knife to separate it from the frame image. It was totally easy and the stamps didn't scream at all ;) And honestly, I can just put it right back in the image that it came from the next time I want to stamp them together so I really lost nothing here.
I did gain the perfect argyle pairing for Happy Harlequin, though :)
That's all for me, folks, but it you're just jonesing for even more Papertrey Ink September goodness, there's lots more to be found...

Fabulous :) although, I do balk at cutting my stamps up - lol!
Okay. Pretty much obsessed with your snowflake card. Will be CASEing that this year.
Oh, Jess, you never fail to inspire! My favourites today are the first fall card with Fabulous Frames and the card featured Snowflake Medly!
Fun post! Love you snowman snow globe idea! Fabulous! And darn cute! Negative snowflake on such elegant colors, a classic! And Love and Cheer, a beautiful simple card! Who doesn't need a few of those in their stash?
I love what you did with the Snowflake Medley! Negative space is a positive!!
Awesome projects. The PTI DT makes it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to maintain a low balance on my Visa. (I love it!!)

Simply awesome work. Clever snowman and the harlequin is just plain fantastic. You're amazing.
I still can't cut up my stamps!!!! But it would definitely make an awesome mass-producing card.
Love all your cards but "Love and Cheer" is one I need to CASE for my holiday cards. It's so pretty and great for mailing.
WOW! I'm beyond impressed and inspired! Not one sample that I didn't drool over. My absolute favorite is the Harlequin/Argyle card. I agree with you: it makes me happy! I'm heading to the drawer for my craft knife this minute!
WOW! This are fantastic. That harlequin card just makes me giddy with delight. SO FABULOUS! Cutting the stamps... that scares me... not sure if I could do it.
You and your projects make me happy.
