10MSPC

That would be the 10 Minute Scrap Pile Challenge. Because it's Monday. And because I really like doing them. In fact, I made 3 10MSPC cards this weekend. But I liked 2 of them so much that they got upgraded to assignment projects. So then I made this one. And... I really like it, too! This was a total throw together, with just a very generic plan of what to do. I pawed through my pile until I found scraps that semi went together, but I actually love the dysfuntionality of these pieces together. Felt and glitter and stripes and dots and stitching... I think the fact that each element is small helps them all live well together. The folks over at My Cute Stamps were kind enough to send their Pop Flowers set out to me this week, and I am more than a smidgen taken with the 2 sentiments in this set. I made this card as a little pick-me-up for a friend and I just love this tiny little saying. I have to say, each time I do this I kinda start of thinking "Ummm... yeah... I'm not actually sure that this is going to turn out well." And sometimes it doesn't. Good thing I don't show you the losers. {Although I did show one of them to a friend this weekend... we'll call her Marri... and she point blank said to me "Yeah, you should never show this to anyone." And I agreed.} But overall, I think this crazy little 10MSPC is actually getting me somewhere. I'm actually liking my little science-experiment-of-a-card results. I'm trying new things. Thinking of new ideas. Dedicating myself to enjoying the unknown. Challenging myself to pick a direction and commit. Willing myself to appreciate the chaos that is creativity. And I like it.
