Masked 10MSPC

My fingers may be blistered from Christmas cards, but I was still able to put together this one in just a few minutes...

and I'm not gonna lie... I think this is my favorite of all my holiday 10 minute scrap pile challenge cards. Definitely in the running for next year's design. {Because trust me, I'm not exactly sure what I was thinking when I decided to go with the kraft-bag-turned-stitched-pocket-card-with-picture-and-"cardlet"-insert-featuring-no-layers-but-a-total-of-6-stamped-images-card this year.}

This one is a mass production winner, folks. I used a scrap of cardstock with a large hole punched in it (2 1/2 inch) for the mask. I wanted the mask to completely cover the card and since the hole was punched close to the edge, I needed to tape that scrap to another scrap to be sure it all covered. I positioned the stamp on the card, then layed the mask down where it looked right, removed the stamp, and spritzed with some Glimmer Mist. So, so easy. I did dry it with a heat gun because I am impatient like that. 2 stamps and a little ribbon later and it's done. And look... I even left the little extra blurp that escaped under the mask. Just do it. It will clue your friends in to say "Oh... is this handmade?" and then you can answer with a totally blase "Why, yes, it is. I made it in between grinding my own wheat and baking my own bread," as if it took you absolutely no time at all. Can't you just picture it with a little felt birdie die cut snuggled in the branches? Or a little white or gold gel pen accents on the leaves? I can and may be picturing it that way when I send out my cards next year :) Later, friends! {Masked Holiday Tree} card Stamps - Little Bitty Bird, Year of Flowers: Poinsettia Cardstock - White Ink - Dark Chocolate Mist - Gumdrop (Tattered Angels)
