Paper Crafts Magazine Presents: 350 Cards & Gifts Blog Hop

Hey, there, paper crafty friends! Paper Crafts is celebrating the newest special issue and one of my very favorites... 350 Cards & Gifts.

Honestly, I'm not normally really a "& Gifts" kind of girl.
I really lean more toward the short and simple "Cards" part of that title.

But somehow I fell headfirst into a pile of home decor and gift inspiration for this issue.

Shadowboxes, wall hangings, gift card holders, wreaths, jars, etc. None were safe; all were attempted.

And it felt good to veer off into the land of "& Gifts."

I got back to card basics for today's blog hop, though. Lots of designers, each focusing on one of the super cute patterns included in the issue.

And the pattern I was given?
The super sweet dress pattern by my {newly married!} friend, Kim Hughes...

I was 100% inspired by Noelle's Easter dress from last year. I was holding the Stella Rose patterned paper from My Mind's Eye in my hand with a completely different plan of action when I realized how familiar that sweet yellow gingham print was. And that was that.

I sacrificed several of my new American Crafts flower brads to the cause :)

And then I went to stamp the sentiment...

yikes.
Not good.

So I went to Plan B.
Otherwise known as the Hide-the-Mistake-Game.

There.

Whew.

That's the way it goes with paper and ink, right? Mishaps happen :)

I know the rest of today's designers have come up with lots of mishap-less projects for you, though, so check it...

Betsy Veldman
Kalyn Kepner
Kim Hughes
Chan Vuong
Teri Anderson
Vanessa Menhorn
Kristin K. Tierney
Lucy Abrams
Ashley C. Newell
Cristina Kowalczyk
Latisha Yoast

And man, oh, man... did I mention the prizes?!

Leave a comment here for a chance to win your own copy of 350 Cards & Gifts.

And head on back to Paper Crafts Connection and comment there for a chance at some of this...

Later, friends!

{Easter Wishes} card
Stamps - Mega Mixed Messages (PTI)
CS - Raspberry Fizz, White (PTI)
PP - Stella Rose collection (My Mind's Eye)
Ink - Dark Chocolate, Tea Dye Duo (PTI)
Brads - American Crafts

Tanja said...

LOL! Seriously! 'Hide the mistake' game. How many times have I played that one myself!
And sacrificing brads... so often I have papers I can't bear to cut and embellies that are just too cute to use. Shame on me :)
This was definitely a good sacrifice.

Sheri said...

Becky Dunham said...

This is darling Jess! I love that little ginham dress - reminds me of when I was a girl. My mom always made my sister and I matching Easter outfits - no we aren't twins, i think it was just easier to make the same thing twice :) Anyway one year she made us gingham dresses - one was yellow and one was blue - can't remember which one was mine - think the blue but this little card really brought back that memory into sharp focus! Thanks for sharing this sweet project!
