November PTI Release in Review

Well, kids, you know what they say about time flying :)

It's time to wrap up Papertrey Ink's November release by bringing you the rest of my November projects.  {All of Papertrey's new products can be purchased at www.papertreyink.com beginning tonight!}

So let's get started...

I love this one :)

It's a combination of the new Sentiment Signs set and just a few stamps from the new Party Poppers set.

I'm totally, *totally* loving the little rectangle images in this set.  They're intended to decorate the sides of the poppers, but they also work super great for adding a small pattern to other things.  The little striped rectangle makes for a simple striped border in no time flat.

And Sentiment Signs... yeah... it's a keeper.  I totally have a thing for stamps with multiple sentiments... great bang for your stamping buck ;)

Next up... Framed Out #10...

I went with contrasting patterns here, just for kicks ;)  The base layer is a floral patterned paper from Crate, with a layer of vellum over it to soften it.

If you're interested in mixing patterns, this is an easy way to start.  You still get the funky mix of patterns, but the vellum prevents such a high contrast.  I used the new Framed Out #10 die to make the frame, then stamped it with another one of the rectangle patterns from Party Poppers.  I had to stamp it twice to cover the whole die cut.

The sentiment fits right inside and gets some fun shots of color from the buttons.

Moving on... a soft card using Heart-2-Heart #10...

Gotta say... the pics don't do this one justice.

I used the Heart-2-heart #10 die to cut several large and several small butterflies from a piece of Harvest Gold cardstock.  I threw in a few die cuts from Beautiful Butterflies just for another size variation...

I also used the Beautiful Butterflies die to cut the shape in the vellum overlay.  That adds an interesting detail without doing somthing too cute, etc.   My go-term formula for sympathy cards is simple, clean, and elegant.  This fits the bill.

And finally...

this little cutie pie ;)

It's sort of like an accomplishment because it has four new stamp sets on it... whew, that's a lot for me!  The anchor of the focal point is a thread card from Hanging By a Thread.  I popped that up pretty high and then used the buttons from Button Up for the faux buttons.  I cheated and used one of the Button Up images on a smaller button... worked just fine.

Purls of Wisdom and the super cute Sew Simple Borders finish out the bottom of the card...

Fun times, fun times!
And there's even more from the November release to see with the rest of the design team...
