Birds & Blooms

 Hello, again :)

Papertrey Ink's design team is dedicating today to projects showcasing PTI's new anniversary set for this year, Birds & Blooms...

This set is super sweet... it has a large wreath image with flower images ready to be stamped in place along the wreath, along with a long branch and a few birdies and nests, lots of extra flowers and foliage to fill everything out, and several elegant sentiments.

I wanted to come up with something a bit different for this one, so I thought I would show you how easily you can make a background out of some of the images.

For the underlayer, I simply stamped the wreath twice and filled it in with the flowers and a few leaves.  Because the wreaths are so big, this small area was filled up quickly... just how I like to do things.

I didn't get a chance to use the border image from Boutique Borders: Birthday during the release, so I was happy to have a chance to use it here to ground that beautiful sentiment... love how it fits the style of the fonts so nicely.

A little gold embossing for shine and a silk ribbon for softness make this officially the prettiest card I've made in a while. I've been keeping more to more clean and simple combined with bright colors for a while so it was nice to see if I still had some elegance in me ;)

Can't wait to see what takes each of the design team gals has on this set...

Just gorgeous Jess! I love the simplicity of it and the gold embossing of the font. Thanks for the tip to create a quick background with the wreath!
