Vegetable Garden

Introducing Vegetable Garden...

Looks fresh to me :)

When I sat down with this set, I couldn't help it... I went straight for the {previously released} Friendship Jar set to pair with it.  There's lots of veggies to choose from in this new one, but I thought a home grown tomato would look right at home in a mason jar.

Die cutting the jar from clear cardstock and stamping it with StazOn white ink gave me a clear jar to layer over the juicy tomato die cut.

I lucked in to a patterned paper from Crate that gave me the little tomato label for the jar... perfect, right? Definitely a lucky break.

As was running across my Ad Sense set while working on this one.  There are *lots* of images in that one that pair perfectly with the veggie/jar combo.  I used two here... "limited edition" and "filled with 100% love."

We do lots of canning in the summer, but it's usually just jam.  This set is tempting me to try something new, though!

On to project #2...

For this one I pulled out one the seed packet die... definitely one of my old favorites.  This time I decided to make it into a pocket by assembling the packet and trimming off the top flap.

From packet to pocket ;)

Love that artichoke image!  Each vegetable in Vegetable Garden has at least 2 images to it.  The tomato image above has the tomato and leaf/stem images while the artichoke has the base image plus the detail image.  I played off the greens by adding one of the seed packet frames (from Garden Variety II) and stamping it with Canyon Clay.

A tag cut with the Tag Sale #1 die made the perfect little spot for a Garden Variety II sentiment.  VBS is coming up in a few weeks and I'm thinking I'll make a few more to put some teacher gifts in... this sentiment couldn't be more perfect.

To make a little handle on the tag, I folded the ribbons back behind and just tucked the ends back in to the knot.  A little ScorTape helps keep things in place.

Sweet and simple :)

Great projects. I especially love your seed packet die you used on your gift bag. I'll have to use that idea to insert my gift tags. Thanks for the idea.

Great concept with the mason jar out of clear cardstock. Looks like the white Staz-On worked well. The pocket on your gift bag is just perfect for your message. Great job, Jess!
