i {heart} world card making day!

It's a happy day, friends. World Card Making Day. What could be better than an entire *holiday* dedicated to the pursuit of craftyness via card making? The only possible answer to that is the fact that since it's an actual *holiday* there is virtually no husband that can argue the fact that you simply must spend the day card making to your little heart's content, right? I mean, after all, it's a holiday. You must celebrate. By the time you read this, I'll probably already be off to Wichita Falls to teach a fun little card class at Scrapbook 'N Such. I'll be presenting 3 cards from American Crafts, Cosmo Cricket, and October Afternoon. I'm planning on getting there early just because it is a pretty rare event for me to be in an actual scrapbook store, so I'm going to be soaking up the smell of all that paper and glue (or wait, not glue, cause that would be illegal, wouldn't it? I'm not really the law-breaking kind anymore, so nix the glue.) while I can. If you're in the area, I would so *love* to chat with you, (um, yeaaaaah... I know that I have kept my chatterbox tendancy extremely well hidden in this blog, right?) so by all means, come on by! Anywho (I just this very second heard Conan O'Brian say that, so I thought I'd throw it in for good measure), to celebrate the day that is WCMD, obviously, I needed to make a card, right?
Can I just say that in addition to {heart}ing WCMD, I also {heart} these little fabric Thickers by American Crafts? So sweet. And I also love that the little chipboard circle/heart kind of echoes the "world" in WCMD. Yes. I do think too much. Trust me, I'm well aware.
So, I hope you all enjoy your World Card Making Day!
Don't forget about the special coupon that you can use through October 12 to celebrate in the Paper Crafts/CK store. Paper crafting and shopping... shopping for paper crafting... that's my kind of celebrating. Just use the coupon code {SJDA-HNVN-LKM6} and you'll get 25% off. By the way, nearly the very first thing I heard upon entering the Paper Crafts offices last week was not "Hey, it's so nice to see you again!" but "Q-pon? Who says Q-pon? " And yet, I stand firm. I'm telling ya, it's Q-pon, people. Q-pon. NOT coo-pon. Let's all say it together now... Q-pon. And I say this all in love, because I still love my PC peeps, even if they say coo-pon. They live in Utah, so I'm cuttin 'em some slack. KIDDING! I love Utah and all of you... Utahians? Utahans? Utans?
And don't forget to stop by Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World this weekend. I hear they're having some sa-weet giveaways, so come on... do it... you know you wanna. And for even MORE super cool projects and inspiration, go browse around at the World Card Making Day blog. I know, I know, it just keeps coming, doesn't it? Go immerse yourselves in cards to your heart's content.
Later, friends!

I am beside myself in ***giggles***! What else can I say? Travel safely to Wichita Falls, and trust in the fact that anyone from Utah will either LOVE this, or leave a comment to set their term straight ... in any event ... it's all good!

Happy World Card Making Day to my fav DD!

without these blogs and web sites, wcmd would go by without attention. but, that doesn't mean that the creating would slow done!
