And I'm off...

to CHA! Excited partly because I'm hanging out with Anabelle & Cindy (of Emma's Paperie), my crafty friends that have been said friends since practically the beginning of this whole crafty/stampy life, plus 4 other Go-to-Gals (not to mention all our favorite Paper Crafts editors)... and partly because CHA is in L.A. Not Louisiana. Los Angeles. And what do I know about Los Angeles? It. Is. Warm. And that is pretty much all I care about :) I'm sort of a summer girl at heart. So to go to a land where it is practically summer all the time.. heaven. I'll leave you with a little goodbye card...

A little cold weather friend for those of you buried in the snow. Trust me when I say that man... I am so sorry. The thought of all that snow... yikes. A lot of Echo Park in this little one. Love all the bright colors they use. I made this one for Emma's, so you can find the complete supply list right here. A quick little story before I go. I had to take one of my three kiddos in to the doctor on Monday. That meant that all of them had to go with me, though. A friend of mine happened to be there with her son as well, so we got to chat while waiting. And, as the course of conversation between two mothers goes, we got onto the topic of things such as vomit. (Can you relate?) And I then uttered the words which will live in infamy. "We haven't had to deal with very much middle-of-the-night-kid-puke." Yup. I said it. Apparently I like to test fate. Fate answered my challenge. And woke Brian and I up at 1:30am. For 3 rounds of middle-of-the-night-kid-puke from kiddo #2 (that'd be Zeke). And as soon as I realized what was happening, I confessed to Brian that it was all my fault. That I had done the unthinkable and uttered the very words which must have spoken this chain of events into motion. And he heartily agreed. It was all my fault. Seriously... what was I thinking?! Must have been just a 24 hour bug. Really more like a 2 hour bug. Just long enough to teach me a lesson :)

LOL - so funny! Well, I guess not when you actually had to deal with it!

So sorry about the "lesson". Been there ... it isn't pretty.

Probably best that you soak in the sun & warm while in L.A. I think we're heading for cccccold & icky freezy for your return to TX! 'Not' my fault! LOL

Oh I learned almost the same lesson a few weeks ago, Jess! I bragged to my kids' pediatrician at a check up..."My kids haven't missed a DAY of school all year!"...1 week later, one daughter missed 3 1/2 out of 5, and then I got called by the school nurse on Friday because she thought my other one had strep throat (which she did!). I am saying nothing else right now. Nope. Nothing. Except...have fun at CHA!

Trust me..some of never learned to keep our thoughts to our ourself! I said it about my Granddaughters when they come to visit us. That's right..the very next weekend..see one "almost 6 yr.old" throwing up all night. I'm too old for that!!!
