Salted Lakes?

So my husband reads my blog. Cute, right? I think so. So in reading my blog, he thought I was too vague in my mention of relationship issues. As in, he wants it to be clear that my snafu last week wasn't with him. Well, that seems like a fair enough request. So I'll let you know that my issues weren't with him. I mean, the man makes endless trips to Sonic for me as well as about a million way more important things. He's also concerned that all of you know exactly why Salt Lake City is named so. And the answer is simple. They have a salty lake. Like... super, super salty. Straight from Utah.com... "Great Salt Lake is salty because it does not have an outlet. Tributary rivers are constantly bringing in small amounts of salt dissolved in their fresh water flow. Once in the Great Salt Lake much of the water evaporates leaving the salt behind." In other news... this whole Paper Crafts gig has it's perks. {I mean, beside the obvious ones like learning about salty lakes :)} Getting to tour American Crafts, meeting Liz Kartchner, and getting to see some sneaks of what's upcoming for Dear Lizzy being some of them. Pretty sweet. My favorite part... hearing Liz talk. Getting to see in person that she is who she is... the same person she is on her blog. Even her voice is soft and pretty... very much like you would imagine it to be from reading her words and seeing her ethereal pictures. I love it when the bloggy person and the real person are the same person. Don't you? I also love Flair. All of them. One of the few things that I could buy all of the various packages of. {I mean I wouldn't actually let myself, but I would still want to.}
Enjoying today... hope you are, too...

Thank you for finally clearing up that salty lake thing. Now I'll be able to sleep at night. I'll admit though, a bit of a let down, I thought it would be something a little more original. :-)

Love the post today - a little of everything and so entertaining! I adore Flair also but have been having a hard time finding Dear Lizzie in stock in my Seattle stores!! :(
